Details On The Benefits Of Offshore Company Formations

by Guest Author on April 11, 2011

There is nothing more annoying than working hard all year round and then having to give up a huge chunk of your paycheck to the government. For many people, the amount of cash that they lose to taxation has huge negative effects on their wealth and their ability to live the life that they want. Fortunately, there are legal things that you can do to protect your wealth, such as using offshore company formations.

The main problem that people have with taxation is that it takes a very large portion of their earnings from them. This makes it harder to retire on time, pay the bills, and purchase the everyday items that they need. Fortunately, it is possible to shelter some of your cash from your domestic tax agencies.

If you create your business entity overseas correctly, you will be protecting your wealth in an entirely legal way. However, setting up this entity is no easy task, so you should search for a reputable business, which has many years of experience, to help you. Do plenty of research and ask people for recommendations before making your decision.

By hiring a good team of professionals to create your offshore company, you can rest assured that the job is being done right. The right team will be able to tell you how much of your wealth can be protected and what types of investments can be placed under the new business entity. They will also ensure that the appropriate laws are followed.

Trying to navigate the domestic and foreign laws surrounding these types of businesses is not easy, so you should not attempt to do this alone. Instead, look for a business that has a long history of setting these types of companies up.

If you would like to improve the rate at which your wealth is growing, offshore company formations may be right for you. Be sure to consider your options fully and always work with reputable professionals.

Learn About Reducing Overheads In Your Business

by Guest Author on April 11, 2011

The current economic climate has led to a lot of belt tightening in many businesses across the globe. With business continuously becoming more and more competitive it is important for companies to make sure that they are not spending money on things that are either not necessary or not providing sufficient return on investment. This ‘belt tightening’ is a difficult process and making the wrong decisions can result in restricting your business rather than streamlining it. Below is a summary of some of the best ways in which you can cut your business’s overheads to hopefully increase profits.

It is often said that the most important part of any business is its human resources. However, this could also be your biggest overhead and therefore one of the best ways you can reduce your expenses. The problem is that it is not as simple as just laying off a few employees and sometimes, laying off employees may not be the best answer. You could look into further training for your employees to increase their work efficiency and ultimately productivity. Though if that may not seem viable, as hard as it may be, you should look into reducing your staffing numbers and reorganizing job roles.

Another cost that could be reduced just with a little research and negotiation is utility bills. Electricity providers advertise different tariffs based on different energy usages. Depending on how your business uses energy and also by switching to either one single utility provider or individual providers, you could reduce your expenses. Of course, you could just look into ways to save energy, either by obtaining more efficient equipment or training staff to be more energy efficient.

Other areas you can try to reduce costs are marketing or advertising costs. The success of marketing campaigns is not easy to judge, though it is quite obvious that there are some methods that work better than others at attracting customers. Successful marketing really depends on the sector your business is in, and not all marketing techniques work for all businesses. It is important to do some research into whether the money you are investing into marketing is really paying you back with increased profits.

Rather than reducing the cost of certain expenses, you could look into the way you are paying for certain things and possibly consider alternatives. For example, a recent study has shown that while it is commonly believed that purchasing equipment is better than renting, in actual fact, when long term maintenance, depreciation, servicing, upgrading, and other costs are included, renting may actually work out cheaper.

Outsourcing: How Is It Seen As Exploitation And Why It Actually Isn’t

by Guest Author on April 10, 2011

In today’s topic, I’m sharing along with you is that I’m going to be speaking about “Is outsourcing taking advantage of inexpensive labor and hurting local small businesses?” And the reason why I open this question up is recently I received an email from a local outsourcing company here that said to me, “Hey Tyrone It looks like you’re really, really not doing a very good job because you’re taking advantage of cheaper labor than what it is than what we’re said to be charging here.” Obviously,it will cost at about $1500 here in the area to hire a virtual assistant for a small company whereas I can teach people how to outsource and look for people for about $300-$350 US a month and they’re charging about $1500 US about to be able to employ and outsource to these people.

Now don’t get me wrong. I’ve got not a problem with that. And, it’s definitely already half the expense of what costs to employ just a local executive assistant here. Like any executive assistant, you’d be looking at paying them at least of $3000 to $4000 each month just to have them work in your working environment full-time and also too, do the work you need them to do and on top of that, you’re going to include super taxes, etc and many others so in reality it’ll become more than $4000. But to employ a virtual assistant, a full-time virtual assistant earning a living for 40 hours a week in the area here with an outsourcing company costs you around about $1500 and that’s included everything. You don’t worry about the taxes, you don’t worry about superannuation, you don’t worry about setting computer for them and many others. And he commented that I believe he thinks that I’m really taking advantage of it really cheaply because to employ someone for $300 each month is really, really low-cost like it’s less than a dollar or $2 an hour. And, now I’m going to give you my opinion. I know that some people are getting really edgy with this. So I’m going to give you my point of view and how and where I sit on it.

In my opinion, outsourcing can be another way to give a job for someone else and also to be able to give them skills and a livelihood. The main difference between hiring someone here and hiring someone overseas say in Philippines, or India or any of those other countries and particularly for me, I hire people in the Philippines, is that their economy is amazingly different. They have a different foreign exchange to us. And if you’re to go over there and basically live their standard living, the expense of living would be so, so much lower and thus that’s why their earnings are so much lower. However in the comparison, they’re getting almost the same say salary as what we would be getting here but our exchange rate exchanges so therefore it looks like it’s so much cheaper. Say somebody in the Philippines they’re getting paid 20,000Php per month just as a full time programmer. 20,000Php each month equates to roughly about $400 US per month, approximately. Whereas here in Australia, you’re probably looking at hiring a full time programmer for roughly about 10K each month like for a really, really serious type of programmer that I’m hiring in the Philippines. Now, 10K — $10,000 AU versus 20,000Php, 10,000 you can do a lot of things in Australia. Standard living is much higher that’s why you ought to be paid that much higher. And also too, $10,000 takes you quite a bit of way but after you pay your mortgages, your food, your expenses and stuff, you might only be left with maybe about 5 or 4K every month or so. So the expense of living is amazingly high whereas in the Philippines, 20,000Php really does push them a lot further as well, too. So regarding proportional scale and also the standard living, it’s completely relative. And that’s the key reason why people just don’t understand that I’m actually doing a good thing to give a job for people inside the Philippines and paying them that kind of rate. And, if I had to hire someone here, yes person here might not get a job here but I’m actually providing a job for someone overseas. And because we are a universal economy now with internet, with easy access with social media marketing, we can get access to resources so much like that. Basically you can contact someone and you should be able to get in contact with someone instantly.

Whereas previously, to get into the economies and scales, gain access to all those kind of resources it’ll take you days, weeks, months even just to be able to access it. So time does change and if you’re not keeping up, particularly large companies right now like large telecommunication companies, they’re outsourcing to Philippines, they’re outsourcing to India and they’re outsourcing to Russia. All those countries out there, their economies and scales are nearly in proportion but their exchange rate makes it look like as though they’re not getting as much back. So that’s the reason i believe why It looks like it’s not a bad thing, it’s a great thing. You actually offer a job for someone else. And yes the person in the area, you may lose the job but that means that they’ll have to go out and be a little more either a better entrepreneur to look for a job and up-sell their skills and be a little bit more specific and professional because the more professional you are at a particular skill, the less demand there would be.

So I’m just going to reiterate on what I’m saying. It’s not a bad thing, we’re not exploiting cheap labor, we’re actually getting a benefit here and also providing a benefit for some individuals overseas and moreover, small companies can usually benefit from this if they think they’re going to be hurt by this. If you are not starting to outsource as small business in order so that you can compete with medium to large sized companies, you’re falling behind the eightfold because I know that a lot of large companies are already doing it already. You may have heard this when you pick up the phone, it gets re-routed over to the Philippines and you’d be chatting with a Filipino. It’s common, I’ve been hearing that myself and I’ve even had times when I said, “So which part in the Philippines are you from?” They go Manila, Cebu, I’m not surprised.

Using An Invoice Factoring Service

by Guest Author on April 10, 2011

Invoice factoring is the act of a business selling unpaid ‘accounts receivable’ to another company. This other company is then responsible for all the rights and risks associated to the debt and also collecting the debt from the invoiced company. The main reason why companies choose invoice factoring is due to cash flow fluctuations that prevent a business from growing, however there are many benefits and constraints to using factoring companies, some of which are detailed below.

The process for selling your invoices to a factor or factoring company is a little more complex than just exchanging invoices for money. All factoring companies will require you to sign a contract lasting a minimum of one year and during that time you will be expected to meet certain agreed upon terms and conditions of the contract including minimum accounts receivable values and service charges.

Some common terms which you will be required to meet when using a factoring company are minimum invoice values and fees. The minimum invoice value that you will agree upon will be either a monthly or annual value of the total recuperation amount of the accounts receivable which you will supply the factor with. You must also pay services charges on every invoice amounting to between 1% and 5% of the total value of the invoice. These terms are negotiable before you sign the contract but not all factoring companies will offer you the right to further negotiate once a contract has been signed.

Not all factoring companies are suitable for all situations, some factoring companies prefer to deal with small amounts around the tens of thousands of dollars, and some prefer large amounts in the millions of dollars. Finding a factoring company that is right for your level of accounts receivable is important as it will affect your monthly fees and minimum invoice sale value.

Invoice factoring can be a good idea if your business is finding it hard obtaining payment from its debtors, and you do not have the time to chase the invoices up constantly, or if you need to release working capital in a short space of time, though there are also a few disadvantages. One of the biggest disadvantages is the fact that you will not receive the full payment from the invoice until the debt is settled. In most circumstances, the factoring company will provide you with up to 90% of the value of an invoice once you have contacted them to notify them of the invoice, and then when the account is settled, you will receive the rest of the debt, minus the fees involved.

Web Design Swansea: Wasting Money On Cool Designs

by Guest Author on August 30, 2010

The web design Swansea businesses are often drawn to are pretty looking sites with special effects that are thrilling to the eye.

What many fail to realise is that these websites do not add value to the company.

Disappointingly because Swansea businesses have little knowledge of how a website works they fall for the belief that a great looking site will increase their profits.

This lack of experience means they don’t know that the company’s website needs to be displayed on the search engine pages or at a minimum be found through articles, press releases and other items that link back to their site.

On a rare occasion a business may ask the wed designer to produce a website for show or central information rather than being directly used for marketing.

However, the majority have their website designed and built with the sole intention of getting more customers or clients. In other words it is a lead generator for their business.

For many businesses they paid for a website and expect a return through acquiring new clients or customers, email marketing and all the other marketing strategies that can be used once they have an online presence.

Many have now realised that what they are looking for is not a web design Swansea company but a business marketing company that provides websites to be used as a marketing tool.

You only have to look at some important studies that have been released recently to understand why Swansea businesses are looking for an internet presence.

Figures show that the UK is heavily reliant on Google with 90% or more of the people using Google.

74% of internet users perform local search for local businesses.

Close examination of this data tells local businesses that a substantial amount of people in the UK are actually looking for their services or goods online and the vast majority use Google to search.

Swansea businesses who understand this data will quickly understand that Yellow Pages and similar directories are dying rapidly and even the local newspaper or radio will not have the response it once did.

As these statistics sink in you can see why so many Swansea businesses have stopped investing in the old media and are looking for a web design that works for their business.

As these businesses investigate further they have begun to understand the need to have their website rank on page one of Google if they are to win new customers.

If the sites generates business and improves profits who cares about flashy websites on page three of Google!

Businsess Loans That Are Easy To Obtain

by Guest Author on August 30, 2010

Many times the most difficult part of entrepreneurship is attaining cash to maintain and sustain ongoing growth. This is even true when you are seeking business loans. There is a misapprehension that restaurants are more apt to fail than any other type of work; a 10% success rate is often reported.

The actuality is that at the five-year mark restaurants have 40% success rates, virtually identical to most other forms of businesses. Nevertheless, it can be difficult to attain funds, especially from traditional locations such as the local bank.

Restaurant loans can also be obtained from merchant services providers as a factoring contract. These vendors offer financing arrangements that range from a few 1,000 dollars right up to $250,000 if necessary. The business owner is basically selling their future Visa/MasterCard receivables at a discount in order to get the working capital they need immediately.

The merchant cash advance is repaid through a credit card receivables based contract. A percentage of credit card receipts are paid back based on a “Daily Capture Rate″ that is worked out prior to receiving the capital which means that during a bad business period the advance can still be paid without having to face repercussions.

When you are running a restaurant it can be tough to predict when you will need to have additional funds handy. Start up capital can be greater than planned on, and the first significant crisis can be a “make or break” occurrence. Even if the business owner has impeccable credit, it can take months for a bank loan to be funded; in the meanwhile, business continues to be bad.

Restaurant Cash Advance options give a much needed, speedy solution for restaurants in need of funding. Neither collateral nor years of documentation are needed to qualify for business loans when you work with a proven financing company.

Since early 2008 Daniel Samoohi has aided thousands of business owners in finding credible providers in order to review quotes for business loans. By making lenders compete with each other, Daniel also helps businesses in finding great deals for business loans.

What To Do With Your Old Fax Machine

by Guest Author on August 29, 2010

There are several articles online that take a tongue-in-cheek approach to answering the question of what one should do with an old fax machine. The fact is, though, that there are some serious (as well as fun) things that you honestly can do with that old peripheral. If you have made the move to online faxing, and can send and receive faxes digitally without the need of the machine, consider a few creative uses for it.

Ideas for the old fax machine

Parts is parts: Take the fax machine apart. There are many recyclable, reusable parts in them, from low-tech gears, pulleys and metal fittings to high-tech components like switches, circuit boards and LED lights. There are plenty of things a techno-tinkerer could use.

Serious (or silly) sculpture: The cases themselves, as well as some of the more inventive control panels with their rocket-ship light arrays, would make quite interesting sculptures. Mount the machine, the case, or perhaps just the drum and a few inner pieces onto a suitable foundation and display proudly (or comically).

Reuse the case: Speaking of that case, many fax machine cases are actually about the size of a breadbox, and there is no reason an appropriate model could not be drafted into kitchen service. If that does not work, you could use the bottom half of the case for a catch-all junk box in the garage.

Get the kids involved: If you have children that like Army men or building models, pieces from a fax machine can be easily repurposed into battlefield barriers, buildings or vehicles. There are plenty of different shapes and sizes of components in fax machines, and a little spray paint and glue could be the catalysts for a lot of interesting construction.

Security apparatus #1: In the movies, various good and bad guys have used things like answering machines and telephone handsets as in-plain-sight hiding places. Leave your unused fax machine right where it is on your desk or credenza, plugged in and dusted off with paper installed so it looks like its being used. Stash valuables inside. You may have plenty of room with some models, while others you may need to customize a bit by giving the heave-ho to some internal parts (see final option, below).

Security apparatus #2: Instead of (or in addition to) the hiding place, you can use your fax machine as the location for your office spy cam. If you have camera securityset up anyway, and/or want to add one to your office, fax machines are perfect for the job. They have various slots, openings, ports and holes for mounting the new generation of teeny-tiny cameras, even wireless ones.

Keep using part of it: If you have an old fax machine with a full phone handset and dialing pad, consider using the phone (if you have a land line). It is all retro and everything, and as long as it works for you, why not?

Document the process

If you do decide to make a project out of it, take pictures and/or videos of your work to document the process. Computer and other high-tech mods are very popular online, and you can post your story and images at any number of video, hobby and tech sites. In addition, if you do create an interesting piece of sculpture, you should post photos at the many arts and crafts Web sites. Just about anything you decide to do with your old fax machine will interest someone. If not, spur the interest yourself by writing a Wikipedia entry and sending out some press releases. Couldn’t hurt!

Fax machines have a solid place in the culture because of their longterm use and continuing utility (despite newer communications technologies). Even the term itself is used for all kinds of other purposes. For example, there is a British orchestral cabaret-pop band (their own description) known as the Mystery Fax Machine Orchestra. They do not play fax machines or use them in their act, but the name is great, right?

Recycling for real

If you do not come up with any other uses for your old fax machine, then do the right thing and dispose of it properly. Some states, like California, have regulations concerning how you must dispose of electronic items like computers, fax machines and other gadgets. It often means taking them to licensed, designated electronics junkyards, often known as e-waste facilities. You have many options before having to do that, of course, some of which may even net you a few dollars. At least give some thought to harnessing some of the old parts for something good and useful, as that is the mindset that will help us grow out of being a disposable society!
